Music.... Sweet Muuusic
Wow am I really into music right now. I need to buy an amazing stereo system so I can put it in my room.. crank it... and just sit there for hours not doing anything but groovin on the sound. (and maybe play a little minesweeper ha haaaa)
For a while it was the I Heart Huckabees soundtrack. For those of you that haven't seen this movie.... don't bother seeing it. Oh I loved it.... but remember, I'm not normal. It's so off the wall and trippy that any sane person would turn it off in the first 10 minutes. For me, though, it was spectacular. Anyway, the very next day after I watched this movie I bought the soundtrack and absolutely loved it. Just random instrumental songs with a couple songs with vocals by Jon Brion, the guy who did the music. Not very long after I picked up that CD I watched another movie that I later learned that he also did the music for, which was Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Now that movie was just tremendous, and I think it would appeal to a few more people than I Heart Huckabees. But that's another soundtrack that I really need to pick up. One of the songs is sung by Beck, and it sounds really good.
Speaking of Beck, the current CD that I'm listening to a lot right now is his new album Guero. I like a lot of the songs that are on it, though it doesn't even compare to his last album Sea Change. It's good music to have playing in the background when you're just kind of chillin.
Today I finally had a chance to listen to the new Coldplay single. Man oh man oh MAN oh man I can't wait until June when that album is released. However, I'm a little worried, because it sounded a LOT like one of their old songs Clocks. The vocals were very different of course, but right away when that music starts you think, "what the hell? Is this a remix CD??" I still thought it was spectacular, but I'm holding my breath praying that they put a little more effort into the rest of the songs on the CD. Hmmm... that reminds me..... Creed really sucks. I'm glad that band is long gone. Anyway, if you want to hear the new single, check it out in the Coldplayer at coldplay.com.
Totally off subject, I got an exam back in my packaging design class today. After getting my first 100% of my college career on the first exam, on this one I pull off an impressive 62%. I start flipping through it to see what the crap, and I seriously think the professor was drinking when she graded it. One answer I was asked to list the things included in the.... I think it was the fair packaging act. So I list the 5 things and get no credit because supposedly I was wrong. Then underneath she writes what the answer is suppose to be. She lists the exact 5 things that I listed in my answer. What the hell??? Am I in the bizarro world or something??? Needless to say she's going to get an ear full and I best be getting a bunch of points in the end.
Alright.... I've had enough. I guess I better give a shout out to Add Em down in Tennessee before he decides to just ignore me when he comes up to Michigan next. Hey wait a minute! He would do that no matter what!
