Cookies are called cookies because they are COOKED in an oven! Like the witch in Hansel and Gretel, she was cooked good hahaha. You can't call them cooked's because thats not good grammer. Also cooked bakers ARE actually called bakies, and they're good with vegemite but only the Aussies know that. I hope I cleared that up for you. Chow!
Ahhhh, you're wrong... Cookies ARE baked. Just think. No Bakes are not baked... Hense the name "No Bake." They are cooked, then cooled. Things in the oven are baked and things outside the oven are cooked...
bake ( P ) Pronunciation Key (bk) v. baked, bak·ing, bakes v. tr. To cook (food) with dry heat, especially in an oven. To harden or dry (something) by subjecting to heat in or as if in an oven: bake bricks.
cook ( P ) Pronunciation Key (kk) v. cooked, cook·ing, cooks v. tr. To prepare (food) for eating by applying heat. To prepare or treat by heating: slowly cooked the medicinal mixture.
Cooking in an oven is baking. So baking is still a form of cooking. cookies might be able to be made on the stove top, either way cooking ie cookies work for any method. as for the "no bake" cookies, they are neither cooked or baked, so how do you make any connection to cookies?
the definition for cookie is: A small, usually flat and crisp cake made from sweetened dough. And a dough is made to be baked...so "no bake" cookies shouldnt be called no bake cookies, more of a no bake treat.
Yea, I know. I am so much better at working on stuff I dont need to be working on. It is so much easier to apply myself to something that isnt graded, but for fun.

Anonymous is often wrong. That is why they post anonymous, because they are too scared of the embarassment of being wrong so often.
