Just When You Think Your Mind Can't Be Blown Anymore...

Holy wow that was trippy...

Well I never got around to announcing here that I finally bought the one car that I've wanted for a long time, a couple months ago. It has been, by far, the best money I've ever spent. Anyone who knows me knows exactly what one I'm talking about. Non-other than the Nissan 350Z...



I didn't expect to have this thing for another couple years. Giddy-Up!

For you die hard readers out there, you may remember an entry a long long time ago (if you didn't reach for the bottle that night to try and forget the nonsense you just read) where I was talking about driving my car and trying to shift into 6th when it only goes to 5th. Anyway, back then I had that Cougar with 5 gears. Well now my new ride has 6 gears. I always thought 6 gears was nuts. As I quote myself, "...a Corvette with its almost worthless 6th gear." But I'm a believer in 6 now... It's flippin sweet. Moving on... Again...

I was driving home from the car dealer today and I jump onto the highway right quick. I'm "casually" slippin through the gears... 2nd... 3rd... 4th... 5th... 6th... 7th... 7th?? What the crap? Right then I could not BELIEVE what had just happened. Here I finally have that extra gear I've always been trying to go into, and I STILL want to go one extra one anyway. I don't know what to think now. Maybe subconsciously I want to be a truck driver. Those things have tons of gears.



Sheooot... Yea, sheoot.

I've been kind of non existent up on here for quite a while. I guess I've got a good reason though. Completely transplanting your life to a new location and starting the next phase in your life tends to do that from time to time. What have I been up to?

Getting all the necessary things for yourself at your new home sure is tough. I haven't been quite ready to take care of all those stupid little things that you need to just live. Things are finally starting to turn around though. One 40 thousand dollar car and a full set of hockey equipment later I think I'm finally ready to actually furnish the apartment. Hey, you gotta take care or those essentials.

So I'm driving a friends truck the other day and we're driving next to the lake. I turn and say to him, "this thing can go off-road right?" He turns to me and says, "Of course." Instantly I crank the wheel to do some off-roading and drive straight into the lake. My friend starts yelling frantically, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!" To which I innocently reply, "you said off-road." As we're slowly sinking he angrily answers, "but the lake drops off after a very short distance you jerk!" Calmly I respond, "Oh... Well, we better get out and start swimming then."



Apparently I'm even weird and off the wall in friend's dreams. Maybe it's time I started acting more serious at this point in my life...
